Hevvy Dyes
is a celebration of imperfection.
In 2018 I was a maintenance technician for digital printers.
I regularly found myself surrounded by colorful collections of ink-smeared rags. Rather than discarding them, I began to fold and manipulate these remnants during my breaks, creating what I affectionately called "Printer Maintenance Art."
This spark of creativity pushed me to explore new ways of expression.

Using high-resolution scans of my original artworks,
I transformed them into intricate repeating patterns, experimenting with custom colorways.
Intrigued by this process, I sought to recreate these pieces at home, trying various products and techniques. Unfortunately, my initial attempts didn't yield the results I sought; but I pushed forward and embraced the challenge. The imperfections of my early creations ignited a passion to learn and perfect my craft. When strangers started noticing and complimenting the pieces I was wearing, I knew I was onto something special.
After selling my first shirt I felt a new rush, and my passion and vision for "Hevvy Dyes" was born. This brand represents my journey of continuous learning and the beauty of pushing creative boundaries.
